15 window brazilan splitty

15 window brazilan splitty

Thought I would start a post for my splitty.
Bought her last year. Took her off the road at the end September to have her painted.
Things have kind of snowballed from there.

Picture then we first got her, have went a bit mental really. Have a type 4 engine from a 914 to go in with upright fan kit. Also just received red9 front and rear end.
Front and rear safaris and pop out windows all round.
Hope to be back on the road by the summer.

Painting has turned into a wide screen epic, agreed work and price, guy started rubbing it down then made excuses for next 6 months doing a little at a time. We when agreed a completion date. Only for it to pass and then tell me to stop bugging him. So onto next painter. Some progress being made. A few repairs to be made. 914 engine currently being rebuilt. Red9 front and rear to go in. So need gearbox. And a trimmers in glasgow for the seats.

Painting tool a lot longer than expected. Now a summer of work ahead. Full red9 front and rear to go in next.

Will be keeping an eye on this build as I too have a 15 window Brazillian.

Good luck with it all.
