RHD 1954 Samba

RHD 1954 Samba

by kilgore » Sun Mar 22, 2015 7:46 pm
Well here we go again. Couple of weeks a go Dai had a momentary lapse of concentration and decided to sell his bus. In a very panicked 12 hour period a deal was struck and I am now the proud and scared owner of a RHD barndoor samba. Well some of a RHD barndoor Samba :D :D

Progress is going to be slow as a project of this scale is way beyond my abilities and the only man I know fit for this Job is Master Smith in sunny Cornwall so after a couple of weeks home here in the midlands with me the old .... box will be taking up residence down there where its currently booked in behind a long line of almost as fooked buses :D

Beers, pasties and monetary bribes have already began to try and jump the queue!!

Here are a few pics from collection on Friday, hope you enjoy

Dave :D

Gah, thought I'd seen the last of this old bucket!

Gutted its not mine any longer, but glad to see it having some progress. There have been a lot of changes since I bought it in 2007, so my thoughts were that if I was going to drive this I would have built it by now. The timings worked out well for you guys and as you say it was a momentary lapse while I had man-flu when I advertised it, so now it has a different future, but it looks to be a rosy one. I wish you well on your quest, and I will use the barn space that has become available wisely

You can't be putting no scooby lump in that Dave, the purists will be out for ya blood!

Fair play though mate - that'll be nice in a few weeks when it's all done.
