Time for a thread about me..
As bought

Image

Run for a while and then stored... time for a refresh and get it running and roadworthy to be a daily driver... or sold..

16000 km and all OG as you see me...

Time for a little refresh.. Needs axle boot, new fuel hose, electrics checking, brakes checking and MOT
So Wheels taken off and powdercoated...rolling on some standard 14s till the black painted Mud and Snow ones ones are refitted..
Bumpers have been repainted.. The diamond cut one was fitted when? There is a dent in the RHS corner which could have been when the bumper was replaced
Siren horns fronts have been powder coated...
Rack has been reunited with the bus but may be later..
Odd dents and damage.. Will not be restored..
Just want to get it rolling..

Was the volunteer fire service truck to Knoringen...Alsace Lorraine 287 souls...
Lived in a lovely little Fire House kept warm and dry and trickle charged...

Was the roof rack for a ladder? You need to find a suitable wooden ladder to finish it off.

Indeed...I had one! But the rungs had woodworm and so I tested it! I broke a rung and the wire support snapped n I managed another two rungs! Binned!

That's very very nice. The van that is, not the ladder!

I notice the holes at the front of the roof for the eisemann RKLE130 blue light. I have one spare if you are interested. Cheers, Nick

I've both 6v and 12v with blue lenses and the mountings are three hole. No curved mount base. The one on my 61 has the curved mount base but they are 4 hole. I'll try and dig out some photos to explain if that helps?

This is the one on my 61. It's the Eisemann RKLE130 mounted on the tall metal base that has the three holes for the light, and four mounting holes through the roof.

Diagram of the Eisemann RKLE130 for info. All RKLE had three mounting holes.

This is the RKLE130 with the rubber mount to straighten it up on a curved roof

Hope that all helps?
