Morning guys,
Cheers for your comments. Spent the day Friday on the bus.
Prepped and painted the engine bay, finished off the underside also flatted the cab area in preparation for top coat. Cleaned up the ash tray and radio blank took off all the pink paint.
Pile of parts sorted for blasting.
More this week hopefully.

First Saturday back at the unit in two weeks today! Had a pile of blasted parts to get painted also wanted to get the cab in colour.
With that all out of the way. I made a start on the rear suspension fit up.
Also got the steering box out and soaked it ready for strip down.
More this week.

Looking great on the rear end, fresh paint and shiny parts. Looking forward to more in the week.

Update for Monday/Tuesday's progress.
Monday night, I tided up a loose end on the spindles. Welded caps to the tops post dropping, also gave them a coat of satin black all ready for fitting now.
Tonight, I got the steering box stripped to try and figure out why it was tight, I found what the issue was! It seems as though the earth cable has some how been dragged inside the box and become wedged under the lower bearing! The upper columb guide bearing has also broken up.
I have trial reassembled it and all is well. I just need to shorten the columb and tube 45mm to accomadate the box raise.
More tomorrow!

I didn't bother with shortening the column when doing the steering box raise and was going to sort it out after but I find it gives quite a comfortable driving position.

Wednesday update! Ordered a woodruff key cutter today ready for surgery on the steering columb on the weekend. Prepared the beam bolts tonight. Needed 12.9 Allen head screws, could only get bolts so have cut thread all the way down them so they can be screwed through the chassis.
Cleaned the threads in the chassis.
Mounted up the beam up.
Taking shape! Exciting times. Cheers for watching. More soon.
