Being blasted tomorrow apparently.
Areas that don't require blast (rear corners, new side panels etc), being marked up, to ensure they don't get messed with. The last thing we need is for the new panels to end up getting warped.

Left the shop today to go and get blasted.
Scaffold planks cable tied along the newly repaired chassis to protect it.

Then along comes a fork lift. EEK!!

And off it goes..

At the yeard where they do the blasting

Jeez - it looks so vulnerable!!

A blast and a coat of primer to protect her and she'll be back in the shop again tomorrow.

Looks like he's doing a great job, it needs to be hot enough to remove ANY moisture or it'll come back and bite ya ass like mine did!

He's an old hand at it. I'll trust him to get it right.

Headlamp bowls back in.
More lead to the front panel.
Repair to the rear hatch.
More finishing to the roof
Then onto it's side for some work underneath
Some work needed underneath. Kind of funny that the master cylinder and brake lines werestill attached when it was blasted and coated..

Lots of stuff. About £800 worth. I didn't bother with rubbers though. I noticed schofields do a bundle deal for about £350. I figured I'd buy it at their open day it will have 10% discount as well. Not worth importing for that.
Stuff like fuse boxes and bits and pieces definitely are. They work out significantly less even after importing.

No activity on the bus currently, but have been in touch with a couple of interior suppliers. One more to speak to probably.

Yay! Work has kicked off again on the bus. Hopefully some pics to follow.
In the meantime, this weekend I started blasting stuff like bumper hangers, torsion bar covers etc. I'll give the bumper hangers a coat of zinc primer to seal them.
The other bits will get a coat of black epoxy mastic. It's my intention to paint nearly all the runnin gear with this stuff. It's supr tough and has a nice factory style semi-gloss finish.
