I bought the most solid bus i could find as i hate welding after owning minis for the last 10 years !

she has had a cab floor which last chap had done by dub monkeys i think they were called ?
um the drive home didn't go to well as she broke down 3miles from where i bought her doh :twisted: both heads were cracked , didn't mess about chucked a all new 1776 in her :) ouch ! but lease i can use her this summer, got so much to ask and so i want to do first is too lay her out

Well i have been saving my pennys and now how an enough to start getting bits and pieces ready to bring her abit closer to earth ! have decided to go red 9 up front 8O but they use bay splines but i want to run my wide 5 steels ? what but also want four pots up front as well :roll: what brakes should i been looking at ?

Any help would be much appreciated :oops: as you can probale tell have not been into vw's long ! if any one wants too know any think about mini's no probs !

Thats how the old girl came to me, some had started with what i think was original frames but none of the hard ware so as i didn't live to far from creative i popped in and picked up the rest of the brackets and catches :wink:

Also fitted some gauges so i could keep i :cyclops: on what was going down the back

i am in to 60's minis so have quite a bit of speedwell bits and the rev counter pod came in handy ! think it looks pretty cool 8)
oh the hole were the wire comes though was all ready there so made sense to use that and not drill another hole

well saved abit of money so bought myself a gearbox and then a straight axle kit, now found out i need some other bits ! :oops:

the bits i need i think are, the fulcrum plates and thust washers, could i use the one out my small nut set up :?

Done a bit of work on a mates car and he said he would flat and polish the bus ! bear in mind it was flat as f**k so 2 weekends later and it looks a lot better !

also send my box off to pete at cog box so he could piece it all together for me, he got it all together super quick and well he was on the phone telling me it was done he said somethink don't look rite ! :twisted: one of the axle tubes has the end 180 out ! so waiting for another one ! i got the parts not pete doh !

should be done by the end of the week

Oh also bought a polishing machine from polishing shop.co.uk they were very helpful and super quick !
What colour should the infill be on the trim ?

oh and fitted some 15" wheels as it easer to get rubber for them !

think i will paint them back white though ? would anyone know the paint code they should be ?
