Hi everyone
My first time on here as a member is the SSVC
I will start by saying what a great site and club this is I have been watching in the back ground for a long time and Loving all your amazing projects............ I have always loved the split screen buses and always dreamed of owning one and about 3 weeks ago i took the jump and got myself a 2 owner RHD Devon camper 1966 ...... She is in a bad way but i will take my time to rebuild her and get her back on the road were she belongs. I will admit that as I've never even owned a VW car let alone a split screen bus so I will be sucking all the info and advise I can from anyone that is up for helping me though this restoration when I get stuck ... The photos you all put on here are a GREAT help and I give you all the greatest respect for the way you all get stuck in.
I will put some pic on here once i have sorted out how to do it.
Looking forward to making some great friend on here

I'm sorry but I'm going to have to ask how do you upload photos ??? I have photo bucket as i have read that i need that / it makes it easy to upload pics
( do i need to up load small photos on there as this site seams to have photo size limits ??? )
Sorry to ask such a boring Question and I'm sure it's been asked a few times before !! hehehe

Hi Mark,

Welcome to the wonderful world of Split Screen ownership....I went through the same mid life crisis about 9 months ago and bought my first old VW at the tender age of 52...where did all those years go?

Boys and their toys syndrome I guess!

Anyway...posting pics...here is step by step guide...hope it helps..

I too was having a problem posting pics...but it really is very easy.
You can't post directly to the site you have to go via a photo hosting site like photobucket.
So...here are some easy steps to get you going...

1. Set up account on Photobucket.com
2. Create an 'Album' in photobucket
3. Upload your photos to that album and Save (Instructions on the screen)
4. When your photos are in the album hover your mouse over the photo and an info box will appear ...click on the Direct Link option (Your photo details are now copied)
5. Return to the SSVC site and start your blog entry...
6. Locate you cursor where you want the photo to appear and then click the 'Img' button on the above task bar.
7. Position you cursor between img img and paste your copied photo.
8. Your photo should appear in your blog.

Hi All
Firstly just wanted to say thank you for all your help in helping me to upload my photos on here ... easy once you know how
Sorry for the photos being all over the place but it was my first time dudes !! I will get better I promise.
So were am i up to now !!! Well side load doors / roof section / right front door / tailgate / engine lid / passenger rear corner have all been sand blasted today so I'll be etch priming them tomorrow , I have on order x2 A-post half way up so they include the lower hinged section and also inner and outer front arches ( 2 months delivery time ! ) I already have front chassis legs and all front panels but I will not fit them until the arches arrive but that's ok as i have loads to be getting on with my first job will be the roof + new front window frame inner + outer .....My safari windows arrived today so i can gap the new window frame up nicle by using the windows from the safari kit.......Will try to get engine running next week just to see it running ..... then all suspension will be removed and I'll make up a chassis mounted trolly to push her around on ...... Then i guess i'll have to make one of those roll over things so my sand blaster man can hit the underside then i can see what i'll be left with OOOOOOOOOOO scared .......

So what do you all think of my first ever VW she could not of been on the road for years I bet
