Go on then, here's my 66.

:D cheers Hamish.

Can I start heckling you now? :)

I've still got LOADS to do, it's just that I can occasionally drive it in between doing them.

It's off the road at the minute while I sort the leaking straight axle hub bearing leak and replace the stripped studs after I lost 3 nuts on that wheel! SCARY!

EESH - Thats feckin frightening!!!!!
Mine is actually MOTable - but i don't trust myself to just get on and finish it if i did. A winters worth of work and it will be there - got to, i took the reg plate of the bug before it went to Switzerland so it's got to go on the bus before retention runs out...
I worked on the van last night and worked out apart from lack of time whey everything takes so long; it's all bespoke - nothing fits straight off with out a good bit of farting about before hand...

Hi Kev,

Bus should be out of the spray shop this week and then I can start re-assembly. Reckon on 4/5 weekends and it should be home - then I can start on the interior!

Do you need the 36mm hub socket?

Well, I've been running round and putting miles on it when I can, rather than finishing the bits and bobs.

Then we had a mini bus meet on Sunday when Panel Van Lee popped over to play.

DA...exciting times!

Not a lot of work on the interior. I'll have to moth ball it for winter soon, so I'll crack on then.

I know I'm always to blame, but what for this time? :)

Phew! Well, all my pics went down after moving servers, so I've just spent hours sorting them all back out again. You lucky people.

Well, not a great deal of progress, I'm sad to say. The interior still needs loads before Stanford THIS YEAR!

I went to a VW show though! Dubfreeze, Woo. Then I was very very amused to see a couple of pics of it appear online. That was amazing! :D :D

This was my favourite:

Image

Plenty of running about - used it as my daily to get to work for a short while and was presented with this photo as 'evidence' that it was too low. In my defence, the rear wheel was sat in a rain gutter in our work car park. :D

Image

Next jobs, make the interior sleepable in and fit the remaining seatbelt (driver's side) before Stanford.

I'm changing the front wheel bearings this week as they're a bit noisy. I don't know why I didn't do it first time as everything else is new! Then I have to see why it's over-heating. I suspect the timing is still out, although I could do with finding a rolling road to make sure it's all running well and the carbs are set up properly.

Then we're off to Devon on OCD! Can't wait, that's what it's all been about, stuff like that!

Hi Kev.
Great photo from dubfreeze.
Drop me a text if you want to borrow a timing light.
Cheers Lee.
