here we go on a new thread which i will be updating for a customer of mine who has instructed me to source and build him a bus to take over to australia were he lives , i found the bus through a wanted add on here, malc who i bought it off had owned the bus for 23 years and started restoring it over 10 years ago but groung to a halt as so many do with other things going on, he had fitted new long side ,short side ,nos front clip roof repairs ,all top hat ,outriggers ,inner and outer sills ,cab floor ,cargo floor ,the list goes on ,all seem to be done to a fairly high standard then that was it for 10 years, the bus is totally complete, this is how it looks when picking up Image Image Image, and this is how it looks after 7 hours on the motorway in the rain ,never mind as its going for soda blast and chemical strip tommorrow Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image ,and heres a couple with the doors on ,theres some work required to get the gaps right but overall fit well Image Image Image Image

Wow, that's awesome. Is there anything left of the interior?

Funny how buses are heading to Oz now from the UK.

I have fond memories of traveling to a VW show in this in the late 90's with Malc and Abby, my first trip in a Splitscreen van! I seem to remember it wandered all over the road, but this obviously didn't put me off getting one ten years later

An original UK curved cupboard Mango Devon 8) We borrowed the interior to make the repro interiors that are now in mine and bigbulli's buses.

The Aussies have done better in the recession than us - they looked after their money better!
