1961 Project so23 Jobs stopped for a few weeks!!!

Heres my latest project i recently bought, second split although the first project never took off as the van was too much off a mess, Bought it a few weeks ago so only just getting to grips with the steep learning curve of aircooled vw's. Unfortunatly didnt even get me home when buying it a helicoiled spark plug popped out rendering one of the heads useless!

yeah he took it in px for his panel, for this year the pop top and stripes will be going, got to get a rear bumper and front seat, bit of a tidyup and use for the summer, then funding permitting paint over the winter

The stripes are almost gone! As is a fair bit of the paint! More bad news tonight on the engine front the chambers are full of oil so I will be adding barrels and pistons to the new head required!

If you are putting barrels and pistons on I would split the case and check it all out - lots of people have put on new top ends and then had a bottom end failure
