Don't know if you have been or are about to go, we go that way quite often.
Bournemouth is good for days out ( very busy) as for camping close by not so sure apart from all the sites in the New Forest (Christchurch on).
We normally go on down to Sandbanks and cross on the ferry to Studland. (£3.50 each way)
Some Campsites there ( tend be pricey but good and you get slightly better weather on the Isle of Purbeck)
Woodyhyde where we normally stay

Nordenfarm is supposed to be good

Burnbake

Tom's Field
http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j& ... xIc5r6hhfg
There are lot's of others Woodyhyde quite often has the full sign up but go into the shop and ask, not been refused yet, or just park up and then pay (if shop is closed), we normally pull up in the 1st field on the right where it is quieter
Places to go
Swanage
Kimmeridge Ledge
Lulworth Cove
Durdle Door
Corfe Castle
Beaches
Swanage
Studland (All National Trust) Shell beach left of the ferry / Knowle Beach / Middle beach. All fantastic
Pubs
Swanage
Corfe
Kingston - Scott Arms (Jerk Shack Sat or Sun lunch times) 1 mile from Woodyhyde http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j& ... f4Ek9-rlPA
Studland Bankes Arms (walk on down a bit and take footpath down to beach)

Dunno if it helps, but enjoy yourselves
Cheers Rob

Hey thanks a lot for that. Exactly what I was after.
Going down bank holiday but not booked anything yet, so will get on it tomorrow.
Cheers.
